Internal 56k Modem	Not Tested	Disabled. I don't use the modem
8x DVD RW+	Works	No special procedure required during installation
Internal miniPCI Dell TrueMobile Wireless Networking Intel 3945	Works	You might have to maually press Fn-F2 to turn it on. But it works
85 WHr Lithium-Ion Battery	Works	No special procedure required during installation
Audiology Sound	Works	No special procedure required during installation
Dell 350 Bluetooth	Not Tested	Disabled. I don't use Bluetooth.

Using the straight out of the Box Suse 10.1. this is the first time I have ever not had to play to get things working. Your talking I've gotten past laptops to go: Inspiron 7000, Inspiron 4000 and Inspiron 9100. It has always been a painful experience. this one is not. Buy the copy, spend the $60. make sure Novell keeps this excellent product going.

I tried Suse 10 and Fedora Core 5 on this laptop. PAINFULL and a waste of a couple of days.

Obtaining Suse 10.1 - Support novell, buy it!
Installing: Just use the defaults. It correctly detected the network card, wifi, graphics card and display.
Post-Install modifications/tweaks: none

Setting up additional features for Suse 10.1

Getting Suspend-to-Disk to operate correctly: Have not tried.
Getting the touchpad to operate as more than a PS/2 mouse: Synaptics not has the scroll in the hardware of the touoch poad. HATE IT!
Any other additional features you can think of: Of course the media buttons done work.
